Blowing Up the Moon

When this Mr. Show sketch aired on HBO about a decade ago, bombing the moon was just a beautiful dream. Tomorrow, it'll be science fact.

"We have the technology, the time is now, science can wait no longer, children are our future. America can, should, must and will blow up the moon."

Seriously though, the resulting crater will only be about a third the size of a football field and is likely to show definitive proof of water on the moon. :)

I also remembered this sketch when I heard about the moon-bomb news. Who knew that Mr. Show would predict the future!
